MPM - Our core business
Our core business is breeding commercial or flock grade Merino rams as part of an Australia wide network of Multi Purpose Merino (MPM) breeders. As ram breeders we breed a plain bodied highly productive merino, we are marketing these genetics as "The Genetic Solution to mulesing", due to the fact that a majority of our breeding group have either ceased mulesing or are in the process of stopping.
The reason for not mulesing is that as a breed it has no wrinkles and no development, no wrinkles means less labour requirements, which equals more returns in your pocket. At Oxley we are proud to produce these genetics under a rangelands environment, so that they understand how to forage and live in Australia's harsh climate.
